I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike, you can behave at your fanboy worst anytime, if art like this comes from it! This is quite simply phenominal, my friend! I for one have really enjoyed your journey into the Tron-world, and the art that has resulted from it! Freaking amazing!!

impoosant modeling work. The colors are reminiscent of the original, but the decor is interesting, because in the original version, there is no decor!

Yep. You got the 80s down...not just TRON, but the whole era! Yep. This is a humdinger of a winner too. I love the blue tones: 80s SF was full of blue tones. I guess blue meant "the future" or at least the cool bits of it, and what I really like are the vehicles. Yeah, they kinda look like lightcycles, but they're a bit more muscular. They mean business. What I really like is the full-on manner in which you've channeled so much of that glorious time. Well...semi-glorious--me and my best friends lived on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain at the time, so that bit wasn't so good. But the sf vibe at the time was amazing! TRON encapsulates that so well, right down to David Warner being the kind of bad guy only David Warner can pull off: and in those boots to top it off. How 80s!!!! Marvelous! This really captures that, and the cityscape is super. It also reminds me of another 80s gem: The Tripods...and please tell me I'm not the only one who ever saw that incomplete series. The pyramids and brilliant lighting makes me think of "the City of Gold and Lead" only this seems a bit less toxic than a city full of lead. That's always nice! I love this.

I was never very keen on the original Tron either for story or computer graphics, but I expect the newest version would be impressive. Still don't know if I want to pay to see it, though. I definitely like your work here, though.
