Description

The city of his enemies is in ruins and burning. But most of his companions are also dead, and the great wealth said to be had here could not be found. So now he heads home...alone...empty handed...and very weary of war. Larger size is better...zoom for detail! Thanks for taking a look and for your comments! You time and words are most appreciated! It becomes harder and harder for me to find the time to compose and render images...sometimes I feel like that weary warrior! But I do love it, and will continue to try to get at least one a week in the galleries. Thanks for your continued support! Beautiful composition, textures, posing and lighting, my friend. This is a very evocative piece. I can almost feel his 'bony weariness' from here, smell the smoke, hear the crackling of the fires, the groans of the injured and dying, the yelps of wild dogs feasting on the dead, the buzzing of the myriads of flies, and the scratchy scurrying of the scavenging rats. This is breathtaking; worn, weary, bone-tired... A great piece, and I like the fact that you chose to set the lighting in warm tones. Gives me the impression and feel that with the destruction behind him there is a sun setting that can bring in more dangers for him and his mount to face. great work!
