Just a little Goth Angel, so bored hanging out on er pedestal above the city. This was rendered in sections and put together in post work. Sky and clouds by me using various brushes. I have wanted to do something art deco or art nouveau for awhile, but finally took a deep breath and did it. It's such a favorite style of mine, and I have acres to improve with it.
The lovely angel is Godin (Val's) Arella, her little tattoos and amazing sparkling druid eyes options are so sweet and she has the prettiest makeup.
Wings were a freebie at RDNA at Christmas.
Pose is from Jenny's Movie Posters and Beyond 2. I have another one in the works, but paused it for a bit and decided to do this one instead.

You know what this reminds me of? An Escher print. He did some really neat cityscapes in addition to his symetrical abstracts and this looks spot on. Yes indeed, this is unmistakeably an art deco creation. The great use of monochrome is so signature along with the bold black lines. Lovely brush work. And the framing is delicate and sensual. My only nit pick.... is that I have nothing to nit pick about at all. If I did this I would have it printed up and framed for my studio.

the subtle colours in this all compliment each other very nicely...the border although busy does not compete for your attention - this is a good thing the pose is perfect for portraying boredom a lovely image Delaney the only thing I would change would be the jaggy edges on the border elements these need to be a higher resolution to sharpen up their lines cheers mate Carl

Beautifully done, Delaney! I love the monochromatic environment she's in, it really conveys a great mood. Very unsettled little fairy atop a perch she's not sure she wants to be on, in a world that looks the same and so she's not sure which way to turn. :)

~I really love the atmosphere you have created here...dark...mysterious...and for our little goth...boring! :) Truly the nighttime rooftop scene is excellently done and the pose compliments the theme perfectly! I love that hair too...which one is it? Bravo on another beautiful and original work!~

Why, just sit there and look charming,of course! :-D Such a lovely work, Delaney, but then you always do lovely work! I can sse the nouveau influence here - very lovely, I love Art Deco and Art Nouveau as well - I'm thinking about doing a short series of Mucha-inspired works. I may have to try and work that in among everything else - several images are pestering me to let them out... Anyway, it's always a treat to see what you create!

This is such an amazing scene, with a limited color scale... I really like this character, her expression and pose, and particularly her cool wings! I'd guess it must be quite bothersome to make them fly, though - not mentioning the fact they surely need to be oiled from time to time... :D But they look gorgeous! This render has a nice depth and lovely framing, the only thing that bothers me is the lower resolution of some of the frame's decoration. On the other hand, it matches the pattern on the wings so nicely... Hugs, Vashek
