Description
There was a 'meet and greet' in San Francisco on January 29, 2011. I met our host Costa (CostaPanos), PJ (Mrs. Lubner) and Greg (gemb1) at the W Hotel where we greeted Carin (Meisiekind) who was visiting from South Africa. We walked around the area known as SOMA (South of Market Area), Market Street being a major thoroughfare, and then headed over to Chinatown. This is my journalist at a demonstration/riot shot. I raised the camera as high above my head as I could and snapped away. That's Costa in the foreground with the light hair. Greg is the one on the right with the Indiana Jones fedora. Just behind him is, I believe, PJ. I think Carin was off window shopping.
A word to the wise. If you do not like crowds stay off Grant Street during Chinese New Year.

Wonderful shot of this empty street - all the shops closed up?

Great shot! I read in the paper this morning that 350,000 attended this event on Sunday alone.

How fun it looks (even though I am one who dislikes crowds). All the bright colors and people. You have captured the moment beautifully. Great to meet all your friends live and in person.
