Description
We took Carin to our favorite local beach yesterday. Even when it seems like everything is the same, there's always something new and different at the beach.
Algae on water-smoothed wood, oxidized, rusty metal, sand and sun ... is there anything else?

I think I took a photo of you working to get this shot. It was so worth it. Wonderful rich coloring on the metal contrasting so perfectly against the wood. Great image Hun! It is so good to be sitting right next to you while commenting on this image... LOL...

Sooner or later it all goes back to earth, water, air, and fire but it makes for some fantastic images along the way. This is a wonderful collection of colors and textures especially in zoom.

Chocolate Mousse and beer! Hey, that ranks up there with Cheesecake and beer...for breakfast! But maybe not on a beach. I adore beaches. They're so full of everything and most of it is free! I love this shot; it's simply smashing. The composition is perfect. The colors are so rich. Algae is always such a rich presence, especially if its slimy...but I'm weird like that. I like slimy stuff. Everything in this just fits together perfectly--sans slime--and the light is just amazing. This is quite marvelous!

Tara, you just continue to knock my eyes right out of my head with your incredible photos of the most common objects! You see beauty - and capture it - in things most folks would not even bother to see. I must say you are giving me tons of inspiration to get out and do some serious photography. And I plan to once all this #$%%%&$#%#&^&**!@#$ white stuff we just got goes away. Actually, I probably should get out and do some snow photos.... Wonderful photo, my friend!
