My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Not boring at all - contours and textures - landscape in wood! Clive

This would be great in the garden, you could fill the holes with fat and grain for the birds to peck at!! Lovely textural shot.

Looks like something has been feasting on it. Wonderful textures. Parts of it really do look like landscapes.

I should be fighting Helle for it!

Driftwood. Holes. I think this is--among wood eating people--what you'd call A movable feast and isn't that just a hoot!? I love this shot! I love everything about this marvelous find. The clarity shows everything off perfectly, and the light is super. I love the colors, mostly relegated to the background and the sense of scale. I'm also a bit tickled by the fact that this looks vaguely like a meteor. Yeah, I'm weird like that. This rocks!

Like the way you dealt with DOF in-camera. Unfortunately, I don't think about doing enough of that. Thanks for the reminder. Hey, catchy title too:-)
