Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yes I agree it looks like they have just had a fight! Well seen. There is a comedy act out here that does a skit on Heron. It centres around a guy who ruined his life by getting involved in heroin....but of course they are saying Heron! The reporter asked he how he got addicted. He says 'Originally I thought I would just try it once, you know just for fun. But then I found I was addicted and getting to need Heron everyday! It started out as a few harmless chicks in the garage, but before I knew it I had a whole rookery in the spareroom'!!!!!!!!

A super catch of this apparent tiff.

Great capture! Sometimes watching a flock of birds, it's like to follow a soap! ;o)

TallPockets likes to think the 'glass' is half FULL. Maybe they are 'teaming up' together to FIND FOOD and agreed to SHARE their bounty? GRINS. EXCELLENT work, beachzz!!

Well, you should!!! What is this, a lover's quarrel? In any event, another cool bird capture amidst the big rocks and cool waters of the Santa Ana River, Maz!

Oh dear. Archie Bunker just popped into my head saying: "Hey Edith, stifle it." I love it when that happens. And this is a super-cool shot. Herons are such handsome birds and you caught this perfectly. I gotta catch up, but I wanted to at least comment on this one!
