Description
Stuck at home today with blizzard conditions all over Oklahoma USA. So what better to do on a snowy day than photography? But first I had to clean off the back porch so I could get out the back door, then to thaw and clean the ice out of the bird’s food and feel the feeders back up, make sure they have water to drink, interesting with a high of 17 degrees, a gallon jug of hot water in the bird bath every so often works pretty will. With the songs they were singing from the near by trees and the roof of the old shop I thing they appreciated the effort, or maybe they were just trying to hurry me up, LOL. The last chore of the day mop the kitchen and utility room floors from all the snow I tracked in, that done, it’s off to the computer to see if my photography efforts paid off. This is one from this morning while the wind was blowing the snow horizontality across the backyard, windchill factor I don’t know other than very cold.
Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you care to leave!
Thanks for the favs on my last post; I pray all are safe and warm in this deep freeze and record snows that is affecting so much of the USA!

Loved reading about your morning.. I have bird feeders around too, and lots of hungry birds, sweet of you to go out in that and make sure they are are full of food and water, your efforts I would say paid off very well. No snow here just very strong winds, about blew me down the stairs of our deck last night as I was trying to take the umbrella from table down and put it downstairs so it wouldn't blow away, the winds woke me up very early. Stay safe and warm.

The storm just nicked us here in MN. But I was reading this morning about how you and chicago are getting slammed. Poor birdies. :( It's amazing how strong they are to withstand such conditions, huh? Very nice shot .. ♥

You definitely called it! :) For today, I am "stuck" at home, though not complaining in the least! What a special treat to be able to see this beautiful bird perched so perfectly, on an afternoon like today.... Where's Father Christmas when you need him ? :) A marvellous capture of nature and it's creations! Thank you so very much for sharing this!

Egad, I thought this sweet little birdie was a snow owl at first! Cool capture (pun intended) of the bird, under somewhat adverse conditions. Lots of work to do during and after a blizzard.

Stunning Capture.

That is a cold bird, May god bless him and keep him alive Great Picture! I have read about the blizzard to hit the midwest. Counterpoint to the brushfires and earthquakes we experience here. Personally I grew up with the earthquakes and brushfires so that is what I am use to.
