Description

George Rodrigue kick off his Louisiana tour Here in Lake Charles. He talked about his art and why he did what. As You behind him; One of his Blue Dogs art work. he most likely the most famous living artist and maybe the most famous artist born and rise here in Louisiana. There other famous artist that was here in Louisiana but was not born here. Say what you will about his Blue Dogs but he rich and laughing all the way to the bank. I do not know what history will do to him as I see that the artists that die poor is most remember that the ones that got rich in life. Of couse there was a lot of poor artist that die and no one hears about them too. so I do not know what history will do for this man. I was in a room full with people and I had to rise my arms as high as I could go to get the shots I wish for. This one was the best one as others had a lot of movement as he was moving all the time talking. the lighting was bad and i did took some flash but I was too far away for it to do good as the images came out darker. I had my point and shoot camera at the time.

Great capture and interesting story, Jock. Cool and original style he paint. Always hard to say which artist works will become high value when the artist dies. But the artist will need some kind of fame before he dies, else no one will notice. Also when an artist dies, his work will become rare, since he will no longe make new art works. That will raise the prices too. But the artis need to be famous before he die... else nothing will happen i think.+5

I like blue dogs, and the one behind him is very, very famous! It's also funny, he looks a little bit like Harlan Ellison, a writer...only he looks more friendly. This is a great shot, considering the circumstances. Great work here!

I don't see what makes the same exact image of a blue dog so great, he is just popular among the 'normal' people, you can do better than that for sure.
