Very good picture of this beast Andrew...hard to believe this is over 100 years old now...presuming the 08 in the name was the year of its' invention/acceptance by Kaiser Bill's army.

Perhaps it's all the prescription drugs I'm taking for all my various maladies, but I can't help but notice a William Burroughs' insectoid bearing to this device. Loooks almost like it's about to jump out at you while spewing fire out of its top snout. Interesting shot.
