I have no idea what fungi this is!
Taken in Tokai forest on a fallen log across a stream.
Have fun with your searching - mine were fruitless!

Andrea is the expert but it could be 'Gloeophyllum odoratum'- exclusively on stumps of old pines, rarely silver firs, rare at low altitude, otherwise frequent.( Mushrooms and toadstools by Edmund Garnweider).

Looks to me like dessicated orange peels...I guess the species doesn't really matter, what matters is that they make a great shot!
