Description

I thought at first this was a female cardinal until I saw the spot of yellow on the tail...then got to looking and saw it wasn't a female cardinal at all LOL....I have no idea what kind of bird this is..All I could think of it was sitting pretty..and it is a pretty lil bird..If I only knew what kind...so if any of you know please let me know..Caught this one at my cousin's house by her deck outside... Saw the Dr and got my meds refilled..Thank heavens for pain control...and a very passionate and understanding Dr....He had cut me down a little bit but after I told him I had to go to ER twice and an ER wrote me out a few breakthrough pain meds he wrote me out a few more for this month..Hopefully I won't have to go to ER again...I wasn't at all there for 2 whole months I was so proud...then he cut back and there I was back in ER for a visit....bundled up like an Eskimo!!! It is snowing big time here..was only suppose to get an inch on the grass but it far surpassed that...I say we have at least 3 inches...and more for Wed....then artic cold air coming in behind it..I am so ready to see a daffodil or crocus...even the time change...or see a bit of the sun..it has been such a snowy, bleak, winter....and frankly I am getting tired of it.....But it could be worse I suppose...other states have had it far worse than Ky.... My cousin wanted me to come out with hubby today and she and I were gonna take pics...but I wasn't feeling really good enough to get out and go take pics...I told her maybe after Wed when we got our second round of snow/sleet/ice mix...I am usually with her with I get pics..This is the time for sweethearts and Valentines...The 12th of Feb I will celebrate 28 years of being married...I am hoping to go eat at the new Mexican resturant here in town...everyone says it is really good and I am wanting to find out for myself LOL.... My brother in law had his 3rd round of chemo/radation...all of his hair came out...and cousin's hubby is home, going back to VA Feb 12th to get his voicebox and microphone trach As usual all postwork done in PSP9 Didn't add a picture frame thought it would take away from the image.... Thanks to all those who favorited my last image it made it in the GOM top 20...Yeah:) Thank you for any comment you care to leave..your visit is much appreciated..and also thank you if you favorite the image as well I hope all of you are staying warm...and safe... Until next time take care..and plz continue to keep me in your prayers...

Susan, this is such an adorable capture and the title is so perfect for it. Sorry your battling the bad weather still and so glad to hear the Dr. got refills to help you with the pain. Thanks for the update on yourself and your brother in law and you are both in my prayers each night. Big congratulations on 28 years of marriage. In this day and time that is something to cherish

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary - that is a real milestone in this day and age. I think this bird is a Cedar Waxwing. It sure is a beautiful picture of the bird and the pretty berries.

That is beautiful. You should make it into a cheery greeting card! I have no idea what it is if not a Cardinal!

Congratulations on 28 years of marriage! That IS something to be proud of, you know. These days marriage isn't even sacred anymore. My parents have been living together (not married) for 30 years, but have no intention of ever making it official. I know for myself I want a church wedding and a marriage that lasts our entire lives. 2 months out of the ER is awesome. It must mean your health is improving, even if it's not totally restored yet. And it will only keep getting better! hug - Matt

GORGEOUS! If my Mother was with us to see this, she would know what kind of bird it is. She fed them every winter and could tell you every species that flew into her yard. I love Cardinals and you have brought them to life in your work.
