Aerrdinae was a young mage come to Old Calladon under the reign of Suuliman. She was never very good with damage causing spells and didn’t care for necromancy either. What she did have, however, was an uncanny ability to pierce the blocks of Shang’s magics and see things that others wished to keep hidden. She managed to find out secrets about her master that he did not wish her to know and was awarded with immediate death. Had that been the end of it, perhaps she would have died unknowing of true torment. Suuliman brought her back as a Quasi-Liche, a shriveled and desiccated undead thing to serve his undying need for information about his enemies. She became his Seer.

After his destruction, however, she lingered on, a rotting shell of her former voluptuous beauty, suicidal but incapable of dying, longing for pleasures of the flesh, but with no living flesh still hanging from her bones. Then Old Calladon got a new master, one of divine blood, Christobael. He saw the lust in her rotten heart and gave her back her flesh and her beauty, in a way. Her beauty was corrupted by the blackness in her heart and she assumed the form of a pallid seductress. But her beauty was short lived. She was forced to feed on living souls constantly to maintain her visage. And then Christobael too was destroyed.

That left her free, but still cursed with a terrible hunger, a hunger her expanding knowledge could not feed. When Princess Aura came to Old Calladon, she found Aerrdinae first, and threatened to return her to her former undead state if she did not serve the daughter of Shang. She also promised that she would regain her life, and more, true immortality as a servant of Hell, under Aura’s command as its Queen. All she had to do was feed Aura with the forbidden knowledge, the ultimate heresies, that only she could divine. For to defeat the Gods, Aura would need to know all that they had forbidden man to know, all the things that Aerrdinae had already uncovered.
