I drifted off for a short while, And you suddenly disappeared out of sight, Elusive as the dawn's first rays of light~ Gone to the farthest nowhere, My sweet Muse, In the deepest hours of total blankness, I will linger here, awaiting for your return. Now you see her, now you don't. But when she is around you just feel like your hands have wings and they can take you anywhere you want. A dedication to those whose muse is taking a short vacation. very nice description of the muse.me only beeing in art in general since 2008,and i think due to the muse i changed a lot in my attitudes and personality,i would go as far as to say i became a better person,and thats why i keep the muse in the highest esteem. its a treasure and a gift and very sensible.thats why i never force it i just let it flow and do what comes into my weird head lol. 5++

Yes, she is a secretive, elusive, capricious one, is the muse. She visits when she wants to, not when we feel like having her visit. She must giggle when she calls in just as we've committed to some huge, all-involving project (without her) as she sets out to derail our project-plans with images and imaginings that are so seductive, so compelling, so irresistible. And then, when we finally do have a moment, she flits out of our life with her little light... off in the distance we can hear her silvery giggle as we slump in dismay at the realisation she's gone again... who knows when she'll be back. Little vixen! Your image said all that: clearly. A lovely scene, inspiring in its own right... don't think your muse has quite packed her bags, yet, Jenny. :)
