Description

A bud of a flower on a pumpkin vine. Other than contrast, saturation and crop, this was all in-camera, so I am quite surprised by the green splash on the upper part of the leaf on the right. Maybe there was a bit of greener grass above the muted tone of the leaf, and given the shallow DOF it has lost its definition and shape in the capture? Clive

These pumpkin flowers look very similar to corgette flowers! Is it possible that the leaf was wet and that is what is causing your colour difference?

Probably part of the leaf is drier or more moist than the rest of it. Whatever the cause ... this is a fabulous photograph! I love the light and the dof, and your composition is wonderful. Gorgeous work! Luister na Carin ... sy weet!
