Description

I am still with the mountains surrounding Seattle and this image also has a "story". Bill and Tara drove me to the mountains to show me the stand they have purchased for their motorhome and while driving back, Mt Rainier was so beautiful in the distance. (For those who don't know - Mt Rainier is a massive stratovolcano located 54 miles southeast of Seattle.) We were on the freeway so I couldn't ask Bill to pull over. I did the next best thing and shot this image with my 200mm lens, handheld, in a moving car. I only saw the birds when I downloaded it onto my computer. A little cropping and color saturation adjustment and there you go. I am pretty pleased with the result. Wow, what a fantastic capture, especially from a car! I always see these great views while I'm driving, with no place to pull off, and it makes me almost sick to pass them by. You did GOOD!

Its official, I am jealous! I had the same problem not being able to stop and shoot. How nice of the birds to cooperate. They bump this image up to a new level. I love the color and light variations from dark to light. Superb.
