Description
A texturing study mainly, this started with the Poser bullfrog from 9MBI (a new site to me, but with lots of interesting Poser stuff).
Actually you could call this picture a sort of Vue special effects galore :)
I've used:
- Subsurface scattering (SSS) for the frog (and a little reflectivity), also a reflection map for the eyes.
- SSS and displacement mapping for the lilypads.
- My iridescence highlight metanode for the dragonfly's wings.
- Depth-of-Field ("cheating" though, and made it in Photoshop with the z-channel as source).
The iridescence on the wings doesn't look as good as in this picture but that only shows that the effect is working, and reacts to the light angle, and due to the rest of the composition and my intentions I couldn't just move the sunlight around untill the effect was maximal/optimal.
