Description

I had planned to put this poem up for Valentine's Day but just didn't have the time to get this image done. I wrote this romantic poem several years ago & it was inspired by a painting by Edmund Blair Leighton who is one of my favorite artist. I have always loved to go to Art Renewal. Com & look at all the beautiful paintings by the master artist, I could spend all day there. But then I love art & that site. My Love For Thee My love for thee, is so very true, And as passionate as that day it started. From the moment our eyes first met, I sensed we would never be parted. It seemed as if we had met before, Maybe in a another time and another place. I knew in that long ago time of the past, I had experienced your warm embrace. I dream of that world of an ancient day, Whenever I close my eyes at night. In that fantasy land when I was a queen, You were once my handsome knight. I then wake up, you are by my side, As your sweet tender kiss my lips still feel. I know in that other time and other place, Our raging passions could not be concealed. You are the only true love of my life, The one who shares in all my endeavors. My love for thee has transcended all time, And shall remain in my heart forever. Copyright @ M. I like the poem, so romantic, and the image is very romantic too! Reminds me of some of the paintings of ladies waiting on balconies for their knights.
