Description

Our home for the last nine days - eight nights was the $375 million Carnival Miracle. These are the three glass elevators in the eleven story Metropolis Atrium. The skylight at the top is actually part of her famous Y shaped smoke stack. Her inaugural cruse started February 27, 2004 with 2670 passengers and 920 crew. As I attempt to look this excellent capture over I find it difficult to not get dizzy looking up from the vantage point that you had chosen.....lol...and no....I'm not afraid of heights....only the ones that people choose to take photo's of....rofl....

WOW! This reminds me of my recent experience in Detroit. We had dinner at the Renaissance Centre on the 72nd floor. I was the only one at that moment in the elevator and as it started ascending, I realized it was a glass elevator running on the outside!! Well, I subsequently stared at the Otis logo on the carpet until it stopped!!! LOL... Coming down was cool because I had my colleagues with me and felt a whole lot braver!!!

Wonderful shot! Excellent point of view! I think it must have been weird to look at these lifts move "horizontally" back and forth when you lay down on your back? ;o)
