Description

Hi, I just wanted to say hello once more. It was my 300th image, and I wanted to post something with light in it. This isn't a spectacular shot, it's just a dawn shot, a typical shot of where I live; but it was the sun coming through after a night of storms, and maybe I wish that now for everyone. Unfortunately, I still can't comment yet, which believe me is hard. Because I'm starting to look again, and it's wonderful to see what you're all doing. I know some of you have had illness/surgeries, some have cared for others' illness, some have lost a dear soul, some are coming through major transitions---with all the joys and craziness they bring---some are struggling with weather, some are with new jobs, some with new & wonderful marriages/relationships, and some just continuing the act of giving & finding love each day and always creating art...life goes on. My father is still between two worlds, I'm trying to catch up on my own life & work, and I've grown (understandably) quite tired. But I hope to come back here soon, as I miss all of you. I've missed your work & your worlds & and it'll be so nice to be back here once more... Meantime, let me say hello & send my blessings & share a simple sun breaking through the clouds---a quiet greeting from the sun, which seemed fitting for the end of my 3d year here, for a '300th' image, and for all of you wonderful & lavishly talented friends, whom I cherish.
I send love & inspiration to all. Have a wonderful week, Mark (It's a simple image, but it's stronger & brighter full-size.)

A very inspiring image! First light of a new day always brings a feeling of newness to me. I wish the same for you...not for just for a random day here and there but for your very bright future. I know that, "the best is yet to come", is a slightly worn phrase but I sense an imminent breakthrough for you... So, I hope you'll take your present set of circumstances in-stride, knowing that there is something wonderfully new poised out there for you...waiting as a gift...simply ready to be grasped... How do I know? It happened to me:) AND congrats on number 300!!! Looking forward to many more.

This is so much more than "just a dawn shot"... It's a celebration of light and life, of three years of belonging to a true community distributed over the globe, of 300 wonderful images full of love and wisdom, of wonder and perception, pain and peace. Beautiful! Take care, my friend.

amazing, very suggestive image! and congratulations for your 300th! i admire your stamina to get up early with the sun. As for me it's easier to see a sunset than a dawn, since i'm a very late raiser....;D

Congrats on your 300th, Mark, a most colorful and serene vista to add to your growing gallery. Hope your present exhausting and traumatic lifestyle is short lived. But for my bad back -- in royal pain at the moment -- I'd offer a more extensive comment.

Happy 300. That's a major accomplishment especially considering all you've been through in your own life since you joined here, and all the inspiration and support you've given to others in this community. This photo is radiant and colorful and joyful and has so much depth and reflects the artist behind the shot. I love your sun photos that are like sun salutations. Bravo. Take care of yourself during these painful times.

Hi Mark! I didn't realize you were posting again or I would have commented a long time ago. This is a really beautiful image and I absolutely LOVE the color. There are some amazing sunsets and sunrises in Florida. One of the main things I miss about living there. I was sorry to hear about the death of your father. Almost 95 is a good long life, but no matter how long you live it never seems long enough. You have my most sincere condolences. Take care of yourself and be well, my friend.
