Description

Cold blows the wind. The small fire is long gone as the first rays peek over the mountains. Painfully she packs up her belongings last in a linen blanket. Their limbs ache and she is like crying. In her mind she returns to the little hut where she was happy. But her husband did not return from hunting. And alone - in the winter ... A short night lies behind her. The coyotes have called and eerie sounds passed through the silence of the night. Yesterday, the cart broke and she has not managed to repair it. She must therefore bear all. Only a small piece of bread, the water is out but still in front of her lies the river. Rowdy, her faithful companion has caught a rabbit and now romp around in the soft sand. A gentle smile flits across her dusty face. Once again she looks around. How casually she wipes her hair from her face, tightens and moves on. Until the city - until she is in safety .... And the sun will burn! Many days she is walking now and how many still lie ahead. But her will is strong. She will succeed! This time it was the image that created the text. The Area reminded me of pictures of the tracks that moved through the plains and canyons without knowing what awaits them. Many of them have never reached their destination and that has created this rather sad mood - and so I created "the Woman" and set her into the picture. Dirty and beautiful - with indomitable will. muss schon stressig gewesen sein (das wort stress gabs ja damals noch nicht hehe)-ich stelle mir die pioniere vor,in einem grossen treck waren sie ja ziemlich sicher,aber viele versuchten es auf eigene faust oder wurden zurückgelaseen weil zu langsam was auch immer. jetzt stelle ich mir die lady vor ,allein in einem rauhen frauen armen land. sehr inspirierend das werk.

Even the longest journey begins with but a single step. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and surge forwards. Hopefully she will reach her destination. Good work on the glare of the sun - you can almost feel the heat.
