Description

This was one of the sculptures from an Exhibition on Currumbin Beach, Gold Coast - symbolic to me - a hand waving good bye to our Summer for another year ... All our holiday visitors,(December through to February) one after another, have finally departed and peace and quite has once more returned to our shores, for another season. (help - I think I need a holiday now, LOL) Autumn starts for us on the first of March and the weather-forecast is great, if you can trust the BOM ? (Bureau of Meteorology) BTW this sculpture reminded me of the desert robot in the first Transformer movie. Cheers *BB*

Mmm...the trusty ol' 6 fingered Transformer, I remember that one, it gave me nightmares about lying no the beach...YIKES ! Summer might be on the way out, but the ocean is still warm and inviting ! Till next Summer & ~Cheers~

BB...your lose is our gain:) Spring is coming here...but not quite yet. It is slightly below freezing outside right now but this should be the end of it. Neat beach scene.

Great hand, my friend ♥ A very beautiful and symbolic photo-shot, indeed. Wonderful POV too. And now, planning your vacations to a place, now-one can find you and disturb your rest.

A lovely capture of this unusual sculpture and I like your interpretation of it. I find it is always lovely to have people come but it is nice to get your house back to yourself again too. Our summer is just starting I think not that it will get very hot at this time of the year now.

What an intriguing depiction of man, nature, and the inevitable change of the seasons. This is a fine example of photographic excellence my dear friend BB.

Great capture! The persons give a good idea of true size of this art work! I send this link (copy and paste) - a sweet little "finger-song" JohnnyC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGjcKJb8xps

How about that! I thoight they were beach umbrellas closed up for the season. This is a great image. The little group really makes the picture. In the 1967 film 'The Endless Summer' the two young surfers arrive in Australia in the winter and go from place to place in the rain look for waves. Everywhere they go they are met with the Australian surfer's mantra 'You guys reeeally missed it. You should have been here yesterdai.'

I thought it was a fireworks setup waiting to launch. LOL. Impressive POV and that sky!! Most incredible blue with not a cloud in sight!!! I love the tourists who pay no attention at all the art work just feet away. I'm sure they drive the say way. :) Great shot! Well, here it is full tourist season and like you, I can't wait until they go, probably not until April or May.
