Description

I’ve shot this tree many times and posted one shot here back on July 2008. This was shot yesterday evening. POV and background always makes such a difference when using the same subject, they can write a whole new story creating endless possibilities. This one is completely different from the 2008 post even though it’s the same tree. One of the things I love about photography is the way just a few minutes can change the whole scene. I set in front of this tree for about an hour and shot every few minutes as the sun was going down to catch the changes of color as they occurred. This shot was taken at peak color as the sun going below the horizon. The colors soon began to fad giving way too darkness. This is my favorite shot, it’s a little on the dark side but that’s what I like about it. I have a few projects going now so I haven’t been able to comment as much but I have taken some time to view, one of the projects is to get some shot’s ready for a state outdoor magazine I submitted them the first part of the week, hopefully at least one well be chosen. Second, learning what it takes to get an image ready for print, some what different than on line posting. I’ve gone to one publisher locally and was disappointed in there work. Sending some work to Oklahoma City to day trying a new printing company. It’s not cheap so I hope they get it right and I will have found a home for the future. Third is the reason for printing, a local gallery is letting me display some of my work and possible sale a few peaces. Finally some art shows are coming up this summer. I’m thinking about setting up a both to show some of my work there, could be a busy summer, if you’re a praying person send a little prayer my way if not, wish me luck! Thanks for stopping by and far any comments you care to leave! Thanks for the favs on my last post, Have a great weekend all!

Incredible sky. I love old trees like this, they hold a strong fascination. Wonderful composition & as you say, open to all manner of future possibilities for experimentation.
