Description
There is no higher honour among the initiates of the SilverBlade Order than to be granted not only a personal audience with the Queen, but to gifted with a crystalline blade made of the glittering heart of the Endless Chasm from the Great Mountain...was double the honour.
Among the ranks of the fighters that defended Arin-Ren, the Order of the SilverBlade was rivaled by none of their contemporaries in skill, training and dedication to the crown. It was this mentality that elevated them to the status to the High Guard of Arin-Ren.
Illisan was among the finest of the newest initiates. Her skills with the blade were unrivaled even by the finest instructors of the kingdom of Arin-Ren. When she was brought to the attention of Queen Serryf it was among great praise for the younglings skill and prowice. Serryf summoned the young initiate to stand before the Crystal Throne when she was fully and finally inducted into the Order of the SilverBlade. It was at that time the Queen honoured the newest inductee to the Guard with the highest honour that could be bestowed to them.
A pure crystalline blade made from the enchanted shards that grew and glittered from what, through the ages, had been called the Endless Chasm. The very heart of the Great Mountain itself and whose shimmering facets made up the Crystal Throne itself.
The blade was presented to the young inductee after she was bound to the Order and properly inducted to it's ranks.
As she knelt before the Queen, the enchanted crystal blade in hand, Queen Serryf softly murmured an ancient evocation of the Old Majiks of her people. The blade glowed briefly and the jewel set at its base began to shift and change hue - from a pure clear stone to one that radiated a vibrant but cold blue light. Those elders among the Order knew this to be a rare and high honour indeed.
Illisan looked up to her Queen and saw the smile she was graced with. With a gesture she was bade to rise.
As she did so, Serryf smiled to the assembled of the Order and High Court.
"Rise, Illisan of the SilverBlade. And take your place before your Queen. As my High Guard and Protector."
