I haven't done much lately, so I dug up an old sketch from 2006 and played with it a bit.

I'm glad you elected for the simplest of colouring, it enabled me to compare the various "squares" (or should I say "Kevin's" - sorry). I was busily doing this when those angled squares popped out at me. Clever! If you don't look you don't see. Just as doing nothing means opportunity is lost for I increasingly think creativity is a time embedded thing. Possibly everything is, for time enables energy to function.
