...my exclamation upon looking into the twin tailpipes of the only civilianized MiG-29 flying in the USA today.
...its' 1400 gallons of fuel is good for about a two hour flight or eight minutes on afterburner!!!
...this aircraft was purchased from the Ukrainian government in 2006 by a private foundation and has been in complete restoration at Arlington, Washington between 2008 and January 2011. It is now undergoing a five hour test flight program for its' airworthiness certificate and will become a permanent part of a yet unnamed flight collection in the near future.

Wow, a great shot Bill. 2 hrs flight or 8 minutes in afterburner!!! This is worse than sucking up gas in passing gear with those old 4 barrel carburetor cars of the 60s. I like the look of the Mig-29 and maybe I will see this particular aircraft at an airshow in the future. Maybe in Reno one of these years?
