Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Whoops! Guess I better get busy! :P That's a pretty impressive plane ... especially when they fly it over the house! Yikes! It looks pretty fast just sitting there. Excellent pano!

Ooooooooooooooooooooooh NICE! This uniquely shaped aircraft smells of 'FULCRUMNESS'! But is it as easy to steal as FIREFOX!!!

Saw the video. My heart still belongs to the old prop planes but this has got to be the best Disney ride ever.

I don't know an awful lot about planes, but what is a Russian MIG 29 doing in the US ? ... LOL My son Jeff (jif3d) has been flying them on his Play-station games series 'Ace Combat' for years now (and MIG 27) - but has never seen a real one, except for this pic - thanks for sharing this Bill (and Tara) AB-FAB, BB

That's some piece of flying gear! Thanks for the backseat link; it was a great ride though I would have liked to see the touchdown from inside. What fun for probably only $200/min in fuel! I know Tara will see other things too, and I'm looking forward to them!

Nice bird ... I seem to remember that when intelligence got hold of one they were amazed that such an advanced plane was held toghether by iron rivets that even got rusty ...

Very cool shot; I heard some kind of BIG jet fly over me the other day; it literally shook the house!! You'd probably know exactly what it was!!

I'd take a spin...

Two powerful engines, a cockpit and some wings - seems the engines are the most important. Very interesting construction - engines below and to the rear, cockpit foreward and completely above the engine's level with the wings forming the dividing line. Quite an unusual layout. I watched the video - very impressive speed, as can be seen from the rapid ground "movement" at high altitude - I wonder how fast they were going? I was surprised they still have the brake parachute on a plane as modern as this. As for this photo - very good pano job on it! Thanks for posting! May I assume you took some photos of the cockpit from the ladder? And, maybe a head on into the air intake? Would like to see Tara's photos, too. Keep up the good work! :-)

An excellent inhanger capture of the gorgeous fighter, Russian or not, Bill. Sure looks like a fisheye shot. Love the flowing sweep of the cockpit area and bottom intake.

The ultimate 'boy toy', love this plane. The pano is a neat idea, you'd need to be 30yds away to get it in one....what a monster.Link to the vid : huge thanks, I'll be taking that ride again and again.....

Sweeeeet Fulcrum, Bill! That's a kick-butt shot of the big Mig! Tara must be shooting the Curves and Planes shot! Cool that you captured her at work along with the plane! Great one!

Fantastic capture Bill. I think the Mig 29 is a beautiful looking aircraft. So this is how Tara produced one of the shots of this aircraft that looks like an Aurora Borealis!
