Description

Swan Lake (For Rodolfo Ciminelli) This dedication is for Rodolfo (Rodolfo Ciminelli), a very dear friend of mine. We have been friends for a long time, and he is one of the kindest and most caring artists in the gallery. Rodolfo uses the (Poser program) to create amazing works of art. He produces many dedications for his friends, and his art is beautiful, and inspiring. Please take time to visit his gallery, it is a true treasure. Rodolfo shared several stories with me about living in Argentina, and this one seemed so adorable. Hope my friends enjoy his story as much as I did. God bless my friends who are sick and in pain. The year was 1957 in the city of General Jose San Martin, in Argentina where our story begins. Rodolfo was 9 years old and spent most of his time with his friend Yolanda and her family. This day Yolanda had a special surprise for everyone, because she had been taking ballet lessons and wanted to show what she had learned. Yolanda had a older sister Teresa that assisted them. Teresa and her Mom Giordana found an old wooden crate, and moved it to the back yard. Rodolfo helped her family bring their cats and dogs, to provide her with many admirers. Yolanda dressed in her tutu, and came outside to greet her fans. There was no beautiful music, no fancy lighting, but she had the most important thing of all. The love and support of her family and her best friend Rodolfo. So on that small stage in their back yard, Yolanda gave the performance of her life, and recieved lots of applause. Rodolfo has loved this memory all of these years, because sometimes it is the simple things in life that are the best. No one has the knack to bring out such innocence in all their work like you can Dave. As far as I'm concerned, you can be top of the charts every week and you deserve to be there wholeheartedly! Steve ;o)

What a wonderful story and illustration my friend. You did such a great job bringing this memory to us. It is those simple things that we often treasure most as we look back on those moments in time that make up the sum of our life. I hope you always have a few of those treasures in your mind's pocket, ready to pull out and look at, anytime this old world start to bring you down and you feel its weight on your shoulders. That is when you need those treasures most, because they help remind you of the things that really matter and they help to make those sad and bad moments in time not seem so sad or bad.

What a lovely memory! Beautiful image full of details that bring life to the story. Wonderful sense of connection between all the people. It is seen in the care they took to set the scene, and gather the pets. They are all having such a wonderful time. I like the way Rodolfo and Giordana are absently petting animals while their eyes are glued on Yolanda. I love Yolanda's expression. It is filled with the pleasure of a performance well done and the loving response of her family and friends. With all that magic, special lighting and music isn't needed. Beautiful dedication! Rodolfo has a wonderful gallery!

Wonderful work. The backyard was always a fun place for us kids acting out our fantasies. We use to lay chairs on the grass and pretend we were WW2 pilots of a Lancaster bomber.
