Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Beautifully capture Bill. What a fantastic old aircraft. I can just hear that radial making beautiful music. Can you picture this aircraft travel at an altitude of about 2-300ft following visual landmarks across the country?

So much to marvel at in the collage, Bill! The circular exhaust tract, the polished blades and wood, the colour-coded drip cans! Clive

Hm... looks familiar - must be the plane I flew in from Frankfurt (Germany) to Boston in 1956. No, just kidding - that was a Constellation, but close enough - both have propellers! ;) Fuselage looks like wood and metal, but the wings look like fabric. Nice montage work, Bill. Good photo job - we get the colors just right. Now, if Pepsi were smart, they'd use that plane in their advertising. Keep up the good work - you seem to be getting better and better at it. :-)

The cans give it a modern look. A lovely collage of this beautiful old timer who still looks to be in great condition.

Cool collage depicting the renovation of the aircraft, Bill, that kind of reminds me of Lindberg's The Spirit of St Louis.

Coach built airframes, made by craftsmen.Interesting to think that in the early days, the most impotant people in an aircraft plant were carpenters... Great collage Bill, this may be something to occupy the Civil Division of my plant, I'm sure I must have some blueprints somewhere....

I love this plane. Such great colors, and it was a joy to see!

Fantastic collage and restoration project. Cool video. Dana

Absolutely cool thing to stumble across (I love Travel Airs). That's from the era when aircraft manufacturers were trying to make their planes' interiors resemble car interiors, and car makers were trying to make their car interiors look like a plane's ... lol.

What a find....!!!!
