Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

So beautiful! The title makes me think of a promo for the Daily Show a few years back--"When news breaks we fix it!"

This is a beautiful image. In the olden days you could sit on the beach near a bonfire and watch the stars, sleep on the beach and awaken to sights like this. Of course that was before those wiser than us 'improved' things.

Serene and stellar lighting effects on display in this sepia tone-like South Seas capture, Maz! All that's missing are Jon Hall and Dorothy Lamour. And I see a contrail in the distance.
