Description

mixed feelings about this one... I'm liking the colors, not liking the clouds, not liking the lack of detail that night gives and that backlit objects give, but what the heck - here it is...

If the clouds were fixed and I agree about the night detail...maybe just a tad lighter...wow, this image would ROCK! Its still very, very nice!

Maybe play with Terragen's ability to create light sources - put spot illumination around the ships deck. But even with the cloud issues I think this is marvelous!!

I think it looks great. I'm all about the detail, but am often reminded that too much detail can detract from an image. I think this image focuses on what they are going into, not necessarily who they are (if you know what I mean). I see what you're saying about the clouds, but they also look like those rain clouds in the distance where the rain looks like wisps of dark clouds. To me it looks like sheets of rain in the distance. That's what they are running into. Really like this picture!

Dramatic and striking! Perfect light-dark mix, in my opinion. Excellent work.

Well I don't know....this could easily be a borderline silhouette which then takes on a whole new set of rules as far as how one would comment..For me I look at it as such and then things like details are thrown out because a silhouette allows one to get away with less is more approach...I myself find this quite Impressive!..

The ship silhouette is very dramatic against the sky. More details would just detract from that. As for the compressed clouds, they look a bit like the ice clouds you see up north, with the aurora borealis dancing behind them. All in all, this is a spectacular image!
