Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Why do you think they call this part of California 'Lotus Land'? I love your surfing pictures. You should submit some of them to the magazines. Looking at this one I hear the old instrumental 'Pipeline' in my ear.

Oh wow. This is fabulous! I'm fascinated to see how the board cuts the water, how his feet are positioned on the board, where he's looking, how he holds himself as he balances there. Excellent capture!

Don't get much more stellar in this spectacular capture, Maz! I wonder what condition your house will be in when you return up north. I hope someone picked up all the newspapers off your lawn.

What a shot! I have so much catching up to do and this is a fantastic place to start. This is just stunningly amazing, more than top notch. Everything in this is just spot-on perfect, and I can almost count the hairs on his head. WOW! Super stuff.
