Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I think feminism was a male idea. You work AND have children, we go to the beach. I can't believe you let us get away with it, to be honest............ I joke of course ;)

Great capture of the dads and children, what a lovely idea let mum have a rest from the chore of looking after the kids for a day..

More and more men want to be involved with their childeren. I think its a wonderful trend beautifully expressed by your image.

Maybe a weekend Dad group on an outing! :) Whatever the reason, it's a great shot!

good to see a day out with dad day here. cool. some churches do this so to get the dads into the family at time. sometimes they are left out or they do not have time and in this way they have a change to interact with they kids

This has the vibe of a painting I once saw, but I can't remember who it's by. It was essentially people standing around and doing people-ish things like this. I think it might have been in France or some other well-known European country. Anyway, it had this vibe...relaxed and playful, and it was largely linear, like this one. Needless to say, this is a completely different shot, totally in your style and seen through your eye, but it has that nice sense of emotion I saw in that painting I can't remember. Oh well...as a stand-alone piece without any references to anything else, it's superbly done! Really nice! I like it. A lot.
