This reminds me very much of the classical description of the 'event horizon' for a black hole. It is the supposed point of no return where the only option is vanishing into the singularity (the black hole). I find this fascinating. After all, for Alice, that is just when things started to get interesting. And I have never yet seen a horizon where there isn't another new one waiting for us. Thank you Glenda for another portal to the imagination.
