Description

The second of the ships I envisioned for the book that I had plans to write years ago was a Capital Class warship which headed-up the City Class crusier squadron based on-board the Excalibur (see yesterday's picture) in her Hanger Bay area. The primary role of the Capital Class was to act as a fast moving battle communications and control craft to coordinate communications between Excalibur, her crusier contingent and the ninety Preditor Class combat fighters Excalibur carries internally on her flight deck. Armed with twelve twin barrel rapid fire fire pulse laser turrets for close-up ship defence, the crusiers main armament came in the form of two forward mounted rapid fire torpedo launchers. The huge bulge you can see at the front of the cruiser is the ammunition storage bay for the crusiers torpedo launchers.
