This is a second prize winner of DAZ Forum's PA Wallpaper contest for December 2010. The theme was "Family".

Fantastic image! The lighting and scenery are fantastic. I like how you have the warm light focused on the grandma/destination. I might make the closer snowflakes a little less bright, but that's just my taste. Making posed figures look natural can be difficult. I must say the pose for the little girl is perfect. It could be one of my nieces marching through the snow. The way you've presented it, it looks like the girls face is full of joy to see grandma. I can just imagine the next frame where she jumps at grandma to hug her. You've really got the emotion coming through on this. Nice job!!!

Wonderful and subtle use of lighting! The amber glow from the left leads the mind's eye to imagine a sheltering porch and warm cozy house, just out of sight.
