Description
Quickly one of them climbed through the opened window and opened the backdoor from inside. Slowly the three Cheyennes sneaked into the deceased gunsmith's sales room. They had come just in time. The citizenry had already packed up most of the arms and ammunition into several crates. Only a few long barrel arms were still on display in the otherwise empty boards, most of them being prized repeaters of the latest design.
Tadewi Niyol stepped forward and pulled one of them from an open crate. A broad grin appeared on his face. "Let's hurry to get as much on the travois as we can carry", he whispered.
Meanwhile Sanuye carefully stepped on the other side into the gun smith's realm. The large stuffed bear, still very imposing despite his decrepid, moth-eaten condition, immediately caught her attention. He seemed to hold an indian spear, although it was of a strange design, most definitelynot from a familar plains nation
Unlike her younger warrior sister who still detested the calico shirts of the Ve'hoes and relied on her impressive fur coat to protect herself against the biting November cold, Anovaoo'o was mostly clad in blue tradecloth. Her warm blanket coat was still lying at the backdoor where she had taken it off to protect herself while smashing the rear window. She ignored the tree stump where some of the knifes on display were still to be seen. Something in the middle of the room had caught her attention. It was something on a tripod, like one of those Ve'hoe-cameras. It looked unfamilar and dangerous. She hesitated for a moment and then slowly pulled the covering sheeth away. Wow! What was that?

Wow...A Gatling Gun!!! If they know how it works it will be a hard time for the Ve'hoes

... which will most obviously be the main problem... Not even the Ve'hoes knew for most of the time how to operate it properly. Without training it was a waste of ammo and often there was zero training because that was considered... a waste of ammo. The 7th cavalry got theirs in 1867. When the battery commander suggested target practice, the commander (that would have been Custer) told him that he would have to cover the costs from his private funds - the Gatlings remained unused for years ;)
