Description
I have been attending some classes in photography, and this photo was part of a class project and field trip, we all went night shooting together. And it was my first time doing any night shooting and also using a tripod I always shoot free hand. My instructor lent me his tripod so struggling to learn that and shooting in the dark was quite a challenge. We all had to turn in 5 photos this is one of mine that I turned in, not great but its a learning process still. And it was a lot of fun, nothing like walking around with 40 or so other photographers and having people question what we were all doing, we got some interesting questions. The other night I attempted to take some photos of the New Moon without a lot of success but once again it was fun and pretty to be out watching it. Have a great night... and get out and try some night shooting if you haven't already you will have a new appreciation for those that do it so well.
Thank you all for your comments on my last photo, I see we have quite a few Gordon Lightfoot fans here, I have been playing his music non stop it seems since I attended his concert last Friday. Loving it though.

Wonderful shot Lynell! "ongrats Jenny & Will" LOL its too bad they lost the C. Your skill is very evident in this shot. If i saw a group of 40 people with cameras, I would think they are paperazi and there must be some celebrity in town.

I think you did a great job on this. It reminds me of the old black and white movies and this shot is really clear. Great work and it sounds like the class is a lot of fun!

This is excellent for your first night time image sis I wish we had classes like that here at Campbellsville College University Believe I would enjoy it.....getting ready to post a new image...my first one in awhile............ Got results from my bloodwork....it was perfect.....I was surprised since I still feel so bad...and told him so......he said it may take me a week or two to get back to normal........he said if I am now to ever get a temp of 100.5 to call his office immediately....and he would personally call me back...or go to ER if it was nighttime........he said I almost waited to late...........in other words had I held off another night......I might not be here now typing this comment..after hearing those words glad I went...just wished I felt stronger....and I dread getting sick again and a temp of 100.5 cuz mine always goes over that:( I go for Chemo Thurs........and Friday is my birthday.....told hubby I wanted to go to Wallyworld and get me 2 new paperbacks and my Laughing Cow Cheese and maybe a new top or night gown........and hope the weather stays pretty has been 78 here the past 2 days.......calling for strong storms tomorrow evening and a cold front coming in.........50 high....30 low.......knew it wouldn't last...ah well at least if won't freeze all the pretty blooms on the trees and flowers Again Great image.........you go girlfriend..wish I could take the class with ya..Is it expensive????????? You had to borrow a tripod? How can you do serious photography without one? I've got two full size tripods and two mini tripods, plus a full size monopod. And people asking what you and your class were doing? Sounds like the clueless and suspicious characters that live around my neighborhood. That said, a pretty cool nighttime black and white capture, Lynell.

So your in a photography class, eh? How much have you taught them? This is way cool. The black and white works really well, sort of a 'film noire' feeling.

night shooting is wonderful. i need to go and do some. guess you learning if you put it on auto lights will come out to yellow and every thing around you will or the light will be blue or red. hat where you need to go and get the color tempure meter to play with. i sure the professor will tell you about that soon. good shot
