UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Amazing how they've stacked them up!!

Now that looks like my kind of place mate. I must admit I don't mind the atmosphere in those old places where the cabins are full of dust and memories. Is that an old Thunderchief? I reckon I can see a Douglas C-47D Skytrain back there and even a Model 18 Beech in there too!

Great crowded capture Bill nice in B&W too, well done!!

You definitely have more aircraft museums and collections to visit there - we have two. I really like it in B&W. Leaves the mind to fill in the colours! Clive

I like the monochrome and the striking composition.

Lovely shot Bill. That looks like a Dakota in the back!!

Great image Bill, the crowding suggests a surprise at each turn, not knowing what's hidden behind the next item of interest. The Mono works excellently...
MrsRatbag
It is a great composition, and very striking in sepia...

Nice one, Bill! Now, I really have to stop in there.. I've been past that museum a couple times when I used to service the KSANG at Forbes. Wish I'd had the time to go in...

Terrific shot!!

Interesting shot of the overcrowded museum, Bill. The worst collection of old aircraft and parts I ever saw was at the Chino Air Museum outside boneyard in Chino, California. Despite being careful, one could experience cuts, bumps, bruises, and stumbling when maneuvering around that mess.

wonderful image of this history

Very cool, Bill!

WOW - that looks like a lot of heavy metal and also like a jigsaw puzzle, this goes with that etc., etc.... a very busy scene in monochrome - or so it seems, well done Bill, BB

It's easier to hear the old voices and the roar of the engines, and to imagine these plane's histories when they're in this condition. Restoration is excellent ... but the ones waiting to be fixed up are the ones that speak the loudest in my ear. Wonderful photograph!

Let’s hope that some of this finds its way into a restoration project. Great shot! Dana

powerful monochrome, Bill!
