Description
Like my previous photo, this was shot from the Presidential Suite on the 41st floor of the new JW Marriott Marquis luxury hotel. I wasn't staying there, especially considering one night costs at least triple my monthly mortgage. Instead I was there to take photos for my company. We installed all of the HDTVs during construction, and I was getting some promotional images.
Again we are facing East and slightly South. To the right is Fischer Island and on the left is part of the Port of Miami. This was taken at nearly full zoom using a Lumix DMC-FZ50. The Atlantic ocean glitters in the distance and a flock of birds can be seen passing over Fischer Island. I thought it was an interesting contrast between one of the most exclusive pieces of real estate in the world, and one of the busiest sea ports right next door.
Thanks again for stopping by. A full zoom will double the detail. ;)

Another super capture in my favorite hue...Aqua ! It seems from the ZOOM that the afternoon trade winds have kicked in and causing some white-cap action, now where's my kite-surfboard got too ? Well done & ~Cheers~

You had yourself one amazing day for photography Kort. The clarity is superb and the detail in zoom amazing. I love the sun paintng little diamonds on the ocean in the distance and the contrast between the bay and ocean water. Beautiful image!

A so stunning capture and so wonderful colors!

Nice definitive capture of the Port of Miami, Kort. But how, in the name of Ferdinand Magellan, is the Pacific Ocean tied in with something off the Atlantic Ocean? I gotta Google for a map!

A super capture and this looks to be a pretty busy port. Those who live in the highrise buildings would never have a dull moment.

Great shot I love to see where other people live,And that's a great telephoto lens you have if it gets a shot of the Pacific from there.
