Description
Taken a week ago while boating down a canal in central Florida. I wasn't able to photograph it, but we saw one of the osprey bringing a huge mass of Spanish moss to help pad the nest. Thanks for stopping by!

Very special shot Kort and thank you for sharing this wonderful image! Nature always makes a plan - even where us humans have messed up their environment!

I bet that moss makes a comfy bed ! In OZ, the local Councils put round metal frames on top of selected power poles, just so the Ospreys have a head start, but this crew seems to be doing alright ! Nicely captured Kort & ~Cheers~

Excellent capture.

Oh, I was expecting the US Marine aircraft version of the Osprey. But, that's okay, this is one sharp, colorful and detailed capture of the bird in process of construction its nest, so I really can't complain.

Fancy them using the pole for a nest. A superb capture against the blue sky.

Wonderful, a bit of a precarious perch lets hope there no strong winds. We have large pieces of Spanish Moss on our nursery for our show displays and have found Wrens nesting in it.
