I am so emotional today just missing Namibia. I am sad that we are missing this year's visit because of my US trip and the new baby in the family. Worked on some Namibia pics today and nostalgia got the better of me... Next year.... *sigh* This image was taken just south of Swakopmund on my visit last year. I want to dedicate this image to Geoff (GeoffWoods) who's dream it is to visit Namibia! May your dream come true my friend. Must be a day for emotional females...LOL I've got the weepies for no good reason. At least you have a reason. :-) This is beautiful. I miss the ocean too. Sitting on the rocks in the warm spring sun, watching nothing but nature repeat herself... Great shot.

I have a good cry every morning when I wake up and look at my face in the bathroom mirror! LOL. But, seriously, I know how it is missing places. I frequently find myself missing Florida (especially in the winter), and New York. Of course, when I lived in Florida, I missed Chicago. And I miss my parents, who live in Florida and I only get to see them every few years. Anyway, I know how you feel. This is a great action shot. I love how you got the wave right as it was crashing into shore. That's frequently very hard to do, and your timing was perfect here. I also love the low angle and the wonderful deep focus that you've achieved here where the rocks in the foreground are super crisp while the rest of the image also remains sharp. And that sky! All the elements come together wonderfully in this shot and I really love it.Hopefully you'll be able to go to Namibia next year and make more great shots like this one.
