I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Lovely shot Carin.

Couldn't they get any more houses and buildings to fit, if they get rid of what's left of the trees they could probably fit some more in. From that hill I could almost hit the river from there.

I also have a shot from Twin Peaks and it is a little different. I'll have to post it so we can see how different we thought and saw the moment. :-) I love the twist in the road on this one. You got the slow and the fast in one shot.

I did live there for two years and never got to see this view. But I wasn't carrying a camera around with me in the early 1970s either:) Like your composition very much.

Afraid I'm with geoffwoods on this! Its a excellent view and the road is certainly ..... something else! But hell! Apart from the name and a bridge, whats there apart from concrete? (That's what it seems from there anyway...) Parks? Green Spaces? Not for me, but worth the shot for sure. I'm a treehugging man! lol Rob

WOW!! What a super cool image! I love this! The wonderfully twisty road (that might possibly be featured in a car chase in the second Dirty Harry movie?)up high in the foreground and then the city itself sprawled out way down in the valley below. Amazing!!
