Description

An UNCLE badge. I got this with what you'll see on the next upload. Until then, enjoy the thoughts of long ago... the reruns and TV dinners. Thanks for looking and sharing any comments on the 1960s, TV ... anything. Flower Power, and all that, man! (My wife's a gormet chef, so to her it's "Flour Power"!) A big Thanks to all who have favorited me or my submissions. Happy Spring!

Well, come to think of it, there are several TV shows I miss. Man from Uncle was one, but my all time favorites are The Twilight Zone, 12 O'Clock High, Star Trek, and the Red Skelton Show.

If memory serves this is Napoleon Solos badge, strangely Illya Kuryakin was No2 even though he was the newer Agent. There are rumours of a new film....is nothing sacred?

Yep, loved that show. I wouldn't ever miss my Napolean and Ilya fix. Memory has faded - was it Wednesday evenings? LOL! Thanks for reviving a wonderful memory.

Cela m'avait fait très plaisir de revoir David McCallum dans NCIS, surtout quand quelqu'un lui a demandé comment il était quand il était jeune et qu'il a répondu qu'il ressemblait à Illya Kuryakin.

neiwil: Actually, Napoleon Solo's badge was numbered "11". There's a funny story about that; when the show's creators were setting things up, Leo G. Carroll, who played Alexander Waverly, got the "1" badge, of course, as Number One, Section One (Policy and Operations). Napoleon Solo, as Number One, Section Two (Chief Enforcement Agent, Operations and Enforcement) was technically Waverly's deputy, and Robert Vaughn was intending to get the badge numbered "2". However, he goofed and thought the badges were being numbered in the Roman fashion (I, II, III...) and picked the "11" badge on the assumption that it was actually "II". So David MacCallum glommed onto the "2" badge. This is good artwork, though more decorative than the original badges, which were very Spartan number-on-solid-color-triangle affairs (originally, there were supposed to be multiple colors of badges, denoting what part of the U.N.C.L.E. headquarters complex the wearer could access, but as usually happens with such things, yellow became the default color). I wish this were available as a 3D Poser/Daz model along with the pen communicator, the Thrush rifle, etc.; I did find the U.N.C.L.E. Special on ShareCG just this evening!
