UPDATED:Â September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
Â
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
Â
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
Â
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Â
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

at first glance, it appears to be a human foot print, most likely modern man or woman. appears to weigh about 145 and walks with the heel then rolls to the ball of the foot

Cool!!

too funny---I was just at the beach today - but not barefoot!!

Mmm a clue to the murderer a foot print, break out the plaster and take a casting!!

Just as I expected! 5 toes....lol Aloha

Brilliant shot and title! This is a truly 'modern' shape foot...I have 'primitive' feet..the middle toe is the longest and therefore shoes are the right shape for me. Many shoes distort the big toes on feet like this..I have lots of 'crippled' friends! My feet go with my brain.

was it Friday?

Great capture Bill. You will find that if you stare at it it will transform itself to a standing out print!! You have inspired me to re upload a similar pic to this, tomorrow.

'Why Lord in times or hardship and sorrow did I only see one set of footprints in the sand'? 'I was carrying you my son, and for a time there I had the irresistible urge to hop'!

He went that way! Interesting! Very interesting indeed, said the detective! Good one Rob

A crushed shell would be a reason for "Ouch!". The shadows makes it 'stand out' (!?) ... Great one, Clive

Muy interesante la idea de la huella en la arena.Well done

Ouch! Yes, if that was something sharp. We are unbelievably sensitive in the soles of our feet. I have another "Ouch!" - my computer at home went dead last weekend. I'm looking for a new one with 8 Gb RAM and some good capacity. Hopefully it won't take long. I'm writing this on my work laptop, but can't do any Rendo visiting due to much work at work! (Try figuring that one out!) Cheers! :)

Such great texture and detail! I love the rocks, the defined shadows, and the memory of a perfect day. :*

Hmmmmmmmmm...is this the new model Mono-Ped I keep hearing so much about? As far as I know there's already a recall out. Seems they keep falling over. Very nice shot. love the detailing of the sand and those rather sharp looking rocks.

Been there, done that too many times! I know exactly the feel of a sharp rock on that tender portion of my arch! Great record of someone's pain...and a wonderful shot!

Going by the shadows, my goodness, is it that time already ? I better run - better not ! ouch again ... BB

Sterling lighting and sand texture in this cool capture, Bill. I suspect immediate medical aid, including a tetanus shot, was the order of the day after this apparent mishap. Curious that there was only one solitary footprint in the sand, unless there were more outside the periphery of this image.

Why suffer a stone in your shoe, forgo the shoe and get straight to the point....given the stones location I feel slightly more than 'ouch' was the utterance :-) However given the stoney nature of the locale, bare foot seems a touch foolhardy.I sincerely hope this was not inflicted upon Tara or youself..

This brings back great memories of my youth. Fantastic shot, textures and array of beach rocks. My chubby toes don’t line up so nicely. :>) Dana
