Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Three toes, four toes, five toes... A beach enjoyed by all. The best we get washed up here is kelp! Clive

It's a good law. I can't imagine our beaches without those beautiful, bleached logs! That has to be one of my all-time favorite beaches. It's tough to choose, but all that sand is pretty awesome!
awjay
nice idea

The beach where I walk a lot doesn't have that law. You'll often see BIG trucks and guys with chain saw making firewood. They also cut up one of my favorite pieces that looked like a dog. I wasn't happy about that. I'd love to see this spot one of these days!!

Lovely shot of the beach and little bit of drift wood there Bill, well done!!

This is a beautiful vista Bill and that looks like a very large birds prints in the sand, central and walking away.

That is lovely! A good law, although I might need to take home a pocket sized bit.

Beautiful beach scene and the driftwood in the Pacific Northwest is a natural event that should be preserved - no question. Love the ripples in the sand! Dana

I love our beaches, and this is a great shot! I love the rippled pattern the waves have left in the sand. (Another great one is the one under the Deception Pass Bridge, TONS of driftwood and all the assorted stuff that collects in and around it.)

I got to looking at this again It's a great image but one man's comment made me think and I deleted my first comment I am wondering how come the ripples are that far up on the beach and not anywhere else......find that kind of interesting......and I also wonder if some people do pic up the driftwood even if it's law not too......here at home some people pic up and use it as a decorative item for the home......but I do like that law but looks like there is quite a bit of it........but the ripple question made me think how come that far up and no where else............oh well......tis a mystery to me.......sorry about deleting my comment but I just have that inquisitive mind well sometimes inquisitive...LOL Hugs Susan~

A beautiful capture with a lovely sense of distance of this long beautiful beach. I love seeing driftwood on the beach.

I kind of suspected they would have some kind of law protecting the beaches, and even the driftwood. Much as I'd love to take a piece, I can certainly respect the fact that, like any national park, all of its assests should remain to be enjoyed by all. What a loveely shot, Bill. Magnificent desolation, and only a few signs of human activity. I wanna be there!
