UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I'm thinkin' they should have put down the cover on the flying bridge and tarped it ... after all, you don't want your boat to get wet. Excellent capture!
awjay
very much 'left high and dry'...exceller shot

We put our boats to bed more carefully here, there's a lot of loose stuff on that!

I know they have these racks on the other side of the island from where I live. Its amazing how they they trust ballancing these boats the way it is. But I guess they know what they are doing. Interesting shot. Aloha

I, too, worry about a wind. Tara is right about the canopy.

Must have been a flying boat Bill. Lovely capture.

High and maybe not so dry as they might think, given our rain! Great capture, and I also wish it was mine (and in the water for easy and frequent usage!)

Great capture! Based on teh fact that they have not secured it for long-term storage, says to me that it will be coming back down fairly soon

I wonder how they get it down.there must be a handy crane about.no room for a fork lift
jendellas
:o) :o) wonder how many they get up there!!!!

The clarity and detail in this shot is magnificent, Bill. Only a crane or a tsunami could have placed that little boat up there on top of the F Rack.

Super POV and I can't believe that each spot can handle 12,000 pounds. I'm with Tara and the tarp although, rumor has it that it doesn't rain very much in the Seattle area. :>) Dana

Great capture!!

"well I may have forgotten the keys...but YOU! forgot the Frackin crane"... Love these pics from around the Mariner...boat storage never likely to be a problem for me..good to see how the other half lives.

Well, this is pretty 'frackin' cool, Bill! When I saw that title I thought maybe you'd been watching Battlestar Galactica reruns, but no.... Delightful shot, my friend!
