Welcome to my Renderosity page!
Since 1980, as a writer, artist, and editor, I've worked on some of the best known and most influential properties in the world, including: Dungeons & Dragons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, The Simpsons, Middle Earth, Fantastic 4, Speed Racer, Thunderbirds, Dragonlance, Legend of the Five Rings, Iron Man, Darkwing Duck, Mage Knight, and many others. I've written (and published) more than 30 books and numerous short stories. I've won the Origins Award, gaming's highest honor, for my fantasy fiction twice: first for "The Lion" (the final book in the original L5R series), and then for my Mage Knight short story, "Podo & The Magic Shield." I created, wrote, and colored The Twilight Empire(tm) comic strip, which ran in Dragon magazine for more than 4 years. I can't even count (or remember) the number of comics and game projects I've worked on. All that is nice, but what really matters to me is that my readers enjoy my stories and art. I hope that you will give my work a try, and if you enjoy it -- and I feel confident you will -- please mention me to your friends. If you have questions or suggestions, you can contact me by writing to fanmail@stephendsullivan.com.
Enjoy the pictures!

I think the previous one is better. Unless you juggle the placement of the ship and dragon a little. If there's going to be a title on the top then move the dragon to where it won't be covered or having to compete with the title. Perhaps down to the right hand side so it balances the boat a bit? Also maybe move the ship further to the left so it doesn't look like it's "crashing" into Ali's leg. Maybe use a bit of DoF to help show the contrast in distance? Just my opinion... :)

ZanderXL -- Completely valid criticisms (Thanks!) . . . Unless you could read my mind. ;-) What I didn't make clear in the post was that the illo needed to be cropped in close to the figures for the cover composition to work. With just the figures, nobody minds all that space to the side -- but with the dragon and the boat, the sides just look empty and the center crowded. Oops. My bad explanation. To clarify, I've posted the 2 possible covers with the type inlaid and the cropping the way I saw/see it in my head. That should make my intent clear and help people choose which one they like best. (If the dragon one, I'll find another use for the "figures only" shot -- which I really love.) Here's a link to the comparison. (Which I hope will work -- but maybe people will have to cut and paste.) http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2186613&user_id=509711&member&np
