Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I remember a similar stance when I stood on the border between California and Nevada....I think it was around Lake Tahoe. Other than your lovely sister and the sign, the rocks in the background are fantastic, Marilyn.

WOW! That sign is a bright one. Great shot of your sister. Dana

there's actually another border (I think it might even be in Arizona) where you can stand in four states at once...;)

Fascinating, to think of such lines. Great shot of S against the rocks!

Cool photo Marilyn...we told our two very young daughters (years ago) that we would take them to a place where they could stand with one foot in Germany and the other in Denmark...we did...they did...and were completely non-plussed for years afterward. They had envisioned being stretched many miles in the process...amazing what young minds will come up with when there is no frame of reference:)
