Description
I've been looking at these mountains all my life. The highest peak is known as Mt. Baldy, so named because of it's lack of trees at the summit. For what seems like a very short time during winter, the peaks of the San Gabriel Mountains are covered in snow, and we get this beautiful view.
I took this at a park I have been walking in. I sure wish my home had this view! But, I'll settle for getting to look at it during my exercise, and running around doing errands :)
The past two days we experienced an unusual (for March/April) heat wave and a lot of the snow is now gone. After two days of highs in the 90's it is now back to a much more agreeable temperature of about 70, with rain expected tonight or tomorrow, and probably even cooler temps. Time will tell :)
I haven't been around RR much, but I check in now and then and am always trying to take some photos to share. Personally, I am doing okay, as is the family :) Life is just busy, I am sure you can relate.
